Who is Timmetje Muis

Muis has been around for about 25 years. When the company KKE BV was founded, muis was promoted to fax mouse. He and his little bike were used to brighten up our faxes.

For a long time this remained his only form of existence - until ink and pen were wielded to breathe new life into this small illustrative figure, and he was given the name: Timmetje.

Over the years, Timmetje has developed into a cheerful little mouse whose mission it is to help small children learn about everyday things that will stimulate them to learn about and explore the world around them.
Timmetje ended up in Romania through collaboration with RCHF (Romanian Children's Humanitarian Foundation). In Romania, he teaches children in a simple booklet about the basics of hygiene. Children in poor families do not always know how and why it's important to keep themselves and their homes clean. Many children and adults get sick because they have simply never learned about proper hygiene.

The book appears to work very well in schools. Partly as a result of this, the Timmetje Muis Educational Project was launched.

The aim of this project is to provide children with the essential basic knowledge they need to succeed in elementary school. We provide this knowledge in a playful and effective way through the free materials that we have developed specifically for this purpose. Especially between the ages of 3 and 6 years, children are very open to learning new things at a cognitive level.

The materials have been translated from Dutch into English, German and Romanian.
